Introduction:
The Certificate in Intellectual Property Basic Litigation Skills for Trade Mark Attorneys, accredited by IPReg, is a four-day course offered by Nottingham Law School. The course builds upon the skills practised in the intensive course, but focuses on the practice and procedure of the Intellectual Property Enterprise Court (IPEC).
Pursuant to the New Qualification Regime for Patent Attorney and Trade Mark Attorney Litigators (January 2014), IPReg expects every newly qualified attorney to have attended and passed a basic litigation course within three years of qualification.
Success in the assessment entitles candidates to apply to IPReg for the Intellectual Property Litigation Certificate.
