NTU cycling welcomes keen riders from all disciplines, be it road, track or mountain biking! Whether you’re a world-class athlete, adrenaline junkie, or want to try Cycling for the first time, look no further. NTU cycling has it all.
NTU cycling is for anyone and everyone, offering multiple sessions a week of both road cycling and mountain biking, weekly social events, and many trips across the UK.
There are opportunities for Road cyclists to represent NTU at BUCS, a 10-mile Time trial (TT) race, 25-mile TT, 3UPTT, and a road race.
When it comes to Mountain biking, BUCS is usually a 3-day event at a DH centre including practice and the race itself.
We cycle local rides and offer indoor cycling coaching at City studio
Training will take place on Tuesdays (6 pm-7 pm) and Wednesdays (1 pm-4 pm).
How to join
We will be running taster sessions during fresher’s week.
Membership costs £55. Memberships purchased at any point during the academic year are only valid until the end of term 3.
For all types of cycling a helmet must be worn at all times, however, the club has everything you need available for hire, including bikes and helmets. If you do bring your own bike to NTU, there is a lock-up under Byron Halls of Residence that students can be granted access to for securely locking up bikes.
There is also a full-time mechanic at the lock-up able to provide helpful tips and advice should you need anything mending or tuning.
