Gaelic Football is one of the newest sports at NTU. A cross between Rugby and Football, this fast-paced exciting team sport is for anyone looking to give something new a try. We are always looking for new members and cater for all skills levels. So, whether you are a complete beginner or a seasoned inter-county player we have a place for you!
Represent
Matches are fifteen-a-side and to win your team must outscore your opponent.
We currently have 1 Men’s Team competing in both the BUCS Leagues and End of Year Championships.
We train on Clifton 3G and grass pitches with matches on Riverside Sports Ground (UoN). Fixtures are played on weekends.
How to join
Membership costs £99. Memberships purchased at any point during the academic year are only valid until the end of term 3.
If you are new to the sport, we recommend you join a Play for Fun or our taster sessions during freshers' week to help you get a feel for the game.
Please wear sports shorts and a sports top to training and bring a bottle of water and appropriate footwear for the surface.
Play
Playing Gaelic football doesn’t have to mean a big, long-term commitment, we run regular Play for Fun sessions that focus on making the sport sociable, inclusive, and enjoyable.
There is no requirement to join the club, all sessions must be booked in advance on the NTU Sport App.
