Represent
We are a friendly club who welcome people of all skills and abilities with many members starting their taekwondo journey with us and taking part in their first competitions as part of the Nottingham Trent University Taekwondo team.
Whether you are a beginner or a more experienced practitioner we will find something to interest you in this stimulating semi-contact sport.
We are an inclusive club and encourage new members to join so they can learn and develop a new skill whilst improving fitness. Our friendly and welcoming community provides multiple instructors allowing a variety of approaches, techniques and teaching styles.
Individually and as one united team, there are many opportunities for members to compete throughout the year, this includes British University Taekwondo League and British Student Taekwondo Federation competitions, these are two of the fastest growing organisations which support and provide opportunities for student athletes.
We train at Lee Westwood Sports Centre (Thursdays and Saturdays), City campus (Mondays), Djanogly Leisure Centre and Portland Leisure Centre.
Our head coach, Angelica Celinska (2nd degree black belt), takes the sessions on Mondays and Saturdays. The external training sessions are led by Ralph Minott (7th degree black belt) from TAGB.
How to join
If you are interested in joining just attend a taster session. After that you can pay our membership fee and join the club.
Sports kit is not a requirement to train with the club, however, we do have kit that can be borrowed free of charge or if later on you wish to purchase your own kit then there are ways to do this through the club, just speak to the committee or coaches for information on how to do this.
Memberships purchased at any point during the academic year are only valid until the end of term 3.
