Sport at Brackenhurst

We've teamed up with Southwell Leisure Centre - located less than a mile from our Brackenhurst Campus - to offer our students and staff a fantastic membership deal, including:

• a 50 station fitness suite, including an induction and up to four personalised programmes with an instructor
• fitness classes including Tai Chi, Aqua Aerobics, Pulse Circuit, Legs, Bums and Tums, Pilates, Yoga, Body Bar, Step Aerobics and Kwik Circuit
• swimming and sauna
• squash, badminton and table tennis 9 am - 4 pm daily**
• a 10% discount within the treatment room offering sports massage and therapy.

There are multiple different memberships available for both students and staff:

Students

• Activo Student membership at £19 per month. This is a 9 month direct debit agreement. Students can freeze their memberships free of charge during holiday periods
• Activo Student Flex membership which is £24 per month with no minimum term, on a rolling direct debit contract.

For students, evidence in the form of confirmation of enrolment on a full time course at NTU will be needed to sign up.

Students can also freeze their memberships free of charge during the holiday periods.

NTU staff

• Activo Corporate membership at £26 per month. This is a 9 month direct debit agreement
• Activo Inclusive Flex membership which is £39 per month with no minimum term, on a rolling direct debit contract
• Monthly cash membership at £45 per month – no contract, no direct debit and can be purchased on an ad hoc basis as and when required.

Brackenhurst Campus is home to a football pitch, a cricket square and nets. Local teams from the town of Southwell use both of these.

Equestrian Centre

The Equestrian Centre features both indoor and outdoor arenas and holds a variety of events throughout the year, including unaffiliated and affiliated dressage competitions, and unaffiliated show jumping.
