NTU gymnastics is a growing, all inclusive, fun club with opportunity's for beginner to elite gymnasts to join. The club attends multiple competitions throughout the year for those who want to compete and has a good record of wins! The club is also open to those who don't want to compete but would still like to practise and improve their gymnastics!
NTU Gymnastics club consists of one team all of different ability levels. We have three competitions a year which are a great experience and help to give a sense of the fun competitive side of the sport. When competing, it is optional as to which level you compete in, however as a close team, we travel together and cheer each other on. Our coach is also trained in teaching gymnastics to those with disabilities, so we are an inclusive club that anyone can join.
Hi I'm Maddie, I'm in my third year of a Sport science and coaching degree. I've been doing gymnastics since a young age and am a qualified level 2 coach. In my second year I was on the committee as competitions officer and now this year as president! I really look forward to what this year has to bring and to meeting all the new members of gymnastics.
I've made some amazing friends at uni through the gymnastics club and hope it continues to be a supportive environment for those joining us. My reason for wanting to run the club is that I want everyone to find a love for the sport that I have! I didn't compete before coming to university but that last 2 years with the cub have been amazing.
I've competed in all the competitions and have come away with medals and great memories from the trips out
Our coaches are our current president: Tashi Swycher, who is level two qualified and our treasurer and social and wellbeing officer: Kaitlin Marsden and Jess Smallwood who are level one.
