A modern, self-defence based martial art – perfect for anyone, regardless of size, gender or age.
A modern form of traditional Japanese martial art, Jiu Jitsu is a defensive art which uses joint locks, throws and strikes to defend from a variety of different attacks.
Based on the principal of using an aggressor’s energy to their own disadvantage, Jitsu skills can be used by men, women and children to defend from aggressive situations commonly encountered today, from unwanted harassment to armed physical assault.
Each term, you get the opportunity to train at regional events where all the East Midlands club come together. You get to meet all kinds of people and train with all grades. We compete individually at the Atemis Nationals and Randori Nationals which usually take place in Sheffield and Northampton respectively. At these events, we receive the best training from the tertiary panel of The Jiu Jitsu Foundation, with whom we are affiliated.
