Table Tennis

Get involved and get active with the Table Tennis club at NTU.

Join our Table Tennis club

NTU’s ever growing Table Tennis club is one of the highest scoring BUCS performance sports for NTU. With a wide range of players from our scholar programme, performance players and other squad members joining each year. We also offer more relaxed sessions and social events on top of the weekly training and coaching opportunities!

Represent

At NTU Table Tennis we aim to provide something for all abilities and levels. There are training sessions provided for players from beginner to advanced.

We have 5 Men’s and 3 Women’s teams that compete in BUCS leagues, and we also enter BUCS Individual Championships each year. Alongside BUCS we also have a varsity match at the end of the season against The University of Nottingham.

We have development training and an internal league for development players, as well as opportunities to compete as a squad against other development squads from The University of Nottingham and Loughborough.

Play

If neither BUCS teams or our development squad feel right for you, we have a play for fun session once a week at City Campus that focuses on making sport sociable, inclusive and enjoyable. Details on the date, time and location of this session can be found on the NTU sport app or on the play for fun website page.

There is no requirement to join the club for these sessions. However, all sessions must be booked in advance on the NTU Sport App.

External Opportunities

NTU has access to extra training opportunities to play alongside and train with members from Nottingham Table Tennis Club based at Carlton Le Willows Academy. Our players are also given the chance to play in local league teams and the British League event which is played on weekends throughout the year and has many divisions to suit all abilities

Training Sessions

Our group and one-to-one sessions depend on your ability and team, they are held at Clifton Sports Hub on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. More details can be found on our Instagram page.

Our head coach is Jason Ramage jason.ramage@ntu.ac.uk.

NTU Table Tennis shirts can be bought through the club once the affiliation fees have been paid, they are required by all players in BUCS teams. Shorts (any brand) are needed for games, especially if playing in BUCS Leagues or other championships.
