Learning to scuba dive will likely change your life. Really! From the places you will go and the amazing marine life that you will see, to the wonderful new buddies you will meet.
We are affiliated to the national governing body BSAC. Our club has been running for over 40 years and our instructors are all past members who volunteer to train new and qualified divers.
BSAC provides a full training programme which allows trainees to progress at their own pace. First time divers are welcome and try-dives take place at the beginning of the academic year, with information at the City, Clifton and Brackenhurst freshers fairs. Crossovers already with qualifications from other bodies such as PADI or SAA are also welcomed.
Coaching: We regularly train at Gildenburgh, an inland lake, and have trips around the UK such as the Easter trip to the West coast of Scotland. Previous trips have been to the Farnes, St. Abbs, Gozo, Malta and most recently Hurghada. For more information about our training events such as times and prices please see our facebook page.
Practice / meeting schedule
For any training, try dives or trips we provide mini buses or arrange a meeting place for public transport
We run 3 Try Dives in the first few weeks of term to provide an insight into scuba diving for all those who want to try it. The Try Dives are held at local pools, more information is available on our Facebook page, or by emailing NTUsubaqua@ntu.ac.uk
