Sub Aqua
Scuba diving is a mesmerising and life changing experience. Take a leap into a tranquil, underwater world and explore. You will be amazed! What’s better than finding a new hobby, finding a new hobby to enjoy with friends.
Club information
We are affiliated to the national governing body BSAC. Our club has been running for over 40 years and our instructors are all past members who volunteer to train new and qualified divers.
BSAC provides a full training programme which allows trainees to progress at their own pace. First time divers are welcome and try-dives take place at the beginning of the academic year, with information at the City, Clifton and Brackenhurst freshers fairs. Crossovers already with qualifications from other bodies such as PADI or SAA are also welcomed.
Coaching: We regularly train at Gildenburgh, an inland lake, and have trips around the UK such as the Easter trip to the West coast of Scotland. Previous trips have been to the Farnes, St. Abbs, Gozo, Malta and most recently Hurghada. For more information about our training events such as times and prices please see our facebook page.
President Welcome
This is my third year being part of the Sub Aqua club and my second year on the committee. I am currently doing a BSAC dive leader qualification and already have my padi rescue diver qualification. I have loved being part of this club and have made some amazing friends. As a club we have had some great times both in and out of the water, we have lots of socials but my best memories are in the water. These being, helping out our instructors training the beginners or on our dive trips.
I look forward to meeting any new members whether they are experienced divers or complete beginners.
If you have any questions at all about the club feel free to ask us either at the freshers fairs or ask us on any of our social media accounts or by email.
