We are affiliated to the national governing body BSAC. Our club has been running for over 40 years and our instructors are all past members who volunteer to train new and qualified divers.
BSAC provides a full training programme which allows trainees to progress at their own pace.
First-time divers are welcome and try-dives take place at the beginning of the academic year, with information at all three freshers fairs.
Divers with qualifications from other bodies such as PADI or SAA are also welcomed, with crossover courses offered.
We train at Local Nottingham Pools and Stoney Cove, with trips across the UK and abroad.
How to join
There is more information regarding try-dives and joining Sub Aqua on our socials listed below or get in touch by emailing NTUsubaqua@ntu.ac.uk.
Training takes place primarily within the first term to allow all members to have the opportunity to join in with trips.
Social activities are run weekly and are advertised on our socials.
All Scuba diving-related kit is provided by the club but a swimsuit is required for try dives.
