In Conference Cup action, our Netball 4th team won a closely fought battle against East Anglia 2s to make it through to the next round of the competition with a score of 49-47. Men’s Lacrosse 2nd team also beat Manchester Men’s 1s 9-6 to make it through to the last 16 of the Trophy. We’re looking forward to the next round of knockout fixtures on the 8th November where lots more of our teams will be competing to make it through the rounds!

At Clifton Campus, Rugby League 2nd team had a huge win against local rivals Nottingham 2s, beating them 46-6 – a positive start to their season! Another triple win in the Premier Leagues over on the 3G as Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse both won their fixtures against Loughborough 1s, followed by Men’s Football beating newly promoted Scottish team Heriot-Watt 1-0.

Meanwhile, inside Clifton Sports Hub, Women’s Squash secured their first league win beating East Anglia 1s 4-0.

It was a tough week for our teams with away fixtures in general this week but there were a couple of notable results with Women’s Football winning 2-0 against Cambridge and Women’s Hockey 2nd team securing a 1-0 win against Birmingham 4s.

Over the weekend just gone, Men’s Cricket had their first indoor tournament, our 1st team had a successful day winning 4 out of 4 fixtures and so are now in a very good position to qualify for the next stages of the competition.

Gaelic Football’s first fixture had to be postponed due to a waterlogged pitch, so we are keeping are fingers crossed that their game against Loughborough can go ahead on Saturday down at Riverside Sports Complex.

Lots of other teams in action in Nottingham this coming weekend as Men’s Dodgeball begin their National League campaign in a tournament held at Clifton Sports Hub. American Football kick-off their season on Sunday against Leicester on pitch 5, and a double header for Water Polo as our Men’s and Women’s teams both play Oxford Brookes at David Ross Sports Village on Saturday evening.

Good luck to all teams! Make us #ProudtobePink!
