NTU Sport takes Performance Sport recovery to the next level with Suji partnership
29 May 2024
NTU Sport is proud to announce a new partnering with Suji, a leading provider at the forefront of innovative fitness technology, in a first-of-its-kind deal in UK HE Sport.

Since launching in the US in September 2021, Suji has quickly gained traction among elite and professional sports organisations including 68% of Power Five D1 college programs, 40% of NFL, NBA and MLB teams and the champions of the five biggest sports leagues worldwide, including Manchester City.
The Suji devices use Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) training technology to produce high-intensity weight training benefits whilst using low-intensity bodyweight exercises. This is proven to aid in athlete recovery after training, reducing pain and improving performance.
This partnership reaffirms NTU Sport’s dedication to fostering innovation and sets a new standard in supporting athlete welfare by helping to improve muscular strength and performance, critically when returning to sport after injury.
NTU Sport and Suji will be working together to develop both Suji’s product offering in a Higher Education Sport environment, and NTU's athlete experience.
We are excited to see what the future holds!
“We're really excited about the partnership with Suji and being able to utilise world-class equipment with our performance athletes and scholars. Being able to invest in the health and performance of all our athletes is a priority for us at NTU, enabling them to train and perform at the highest level. We're excited to see the impact Suji can have with our injured athletes and to be part an integral part of the puzzle of helping athletes return to play quicker, and safer, than previously possible.”
Jamie Barnard, NTU Sport’s Head of Strength and Conditioning
