I am a Module Leader and Lecturer specialising in Sound Engineering, Audio, and Music Production. My teaching focuses primarily on studio-based practices and mixing environments, where students develop both technical expertise and creative confidence in professional audio settings.

Career overview

I bring many years of experience in education, delivering sound engineering and audio courses across both studio and live sound contexts. My teaching is grounded in real-world industry practice, helping students connect theory with practical application.

Alongside my academic work, I have extensive commercial experience as a studio engineer, recording and mixing bands, solo artists, voiceovers, and multimedia projects. I have also worked as a house engineer in live venues, supporting performances and managing live sound environments.

My technical expertise extends to the installation, maintenance, and optimisation of studio equipment and audio systems, ensuring high-quality production standards.

My journey into sound engineering began as a guitarist in a band, where experimenting with recording sparked my passion for audio production. This early hands-on experience continues to shape my teaching approach, encouraging creativity, experimentation, and a deep understanding of sound.
