More about Cherie
I am currently a second year student and an EDI Champion for the School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment (ADBE).
Being an EDI champion was essential for me to represent and promote continued exclusive practices across ADBE. I am a part of a committee dedicated to making efforts for schemes that help students like myself feel included and uplifted in spaces often not catered to us. In the future, I hope this opportunity will bring me a better awareness of how the university leads projects dedicated to minority students and grow my love for advocating for these practices.
My decision to study at NTU was driven by the great facilities and staff as part of my civil engineering course. Thus, this has helped me understand new and complex ideas throughout my first year of study, with great comprehensive resources readily accessible in the student workspace and interactive scale-ups expanding on topics using exemplar questions.
