I think the process of knitwear is like a very niche topic and sort of accumulates textiles as well as fashion. So it's really fun to experiment with and learn.
More about Amy
Hi. I'm Amy. I'm a fashion knitwear and knitted textiles final year student. My final major project is about where taste comes from in fashion and interiors and where my own taste personally has accumulated throughout my lifetime, which has mainly involved looking at patterns and textures and colours from my childhood home, which I recently moved out of, which was kind of why I started this whole project to look back at everything that affected me.
I'm most proud of in my final major project completing all the work as well as experimenting my ideas to the fullest ability that I feel I could have. I think final year is like a really expression of everything that you've learned throughout your whole degree. There's definitely been hiccups throughout the way and I'm sure there will be more to come. I mainly overcome them with hard work and also just understanding knitwear and looking at the process and working through with technicians and tutors.
I think the process of knitwear is like a very niche topic and sort of accumulates textiles as well as fashion. So I think it's really fun to experiment with and learn. I'm just proud and excited to see everything that I've done throughout the whole of the year.
