More about Emileo
Why did you choose NTU London and your course?
NTU were the only university offering such a detailed and comprehensive course on Sound Engineering and as soon as I had read the details online I knew it was the right choice for me.
What’s your favourite thing about your course?
The facilities, they are industry standard which gives me the opportunity to get as close to the real thing as possible while surrounded by amazing academic leaders.
How have you found the course facilities?
World-class.
What three words would you use to describe London?
Massive, abundant and diverse.
What do you think of the creative and cultural scene in London? Is London a good city for an Art & Design student?
Is that even a question? It is a city that has given us people like Amy Winehouse, Adele, David Bowie, Queen, Jae5, Kwn, So Solid Crew and so many more influential figures from the creative and cultural scene.
Where would you recommend visiting in London?
There are so many good food hotspots from the Westend to the Eastend. I’d recommend China Town just behind Leicester Square in Soho. Or even Boxpark in Shoreditch where you can socialise and meet other creative minds.
If you could give new students some advice, what would it be?
Don’t wait for things to happen to you, in the creative industry you have to put yourself out there and once you find your style rock it with confidence.
What do you think of the course staff?
They’re amazing, they really know their stuff. One of my course tutors, Olly, has given me so many industry secrets that have helped me refine and improve my work to get it up to the industry standard.
Have you used any of the student support services or NTU’s Employabiliy team? How have you found this experience?
Student Support Services have been very helpful, they have helped me find my footing in the capital and have signposted me towards great work oppurtunities. They are also very helpful if you have concerns about your own finances. They’re always happy to just have a chat.
What’s next for you after NTU London?
I am looking forward to working within the live sound industry, where I will be able to use all of the skills & knowledge that I have picked up while being at NTU London.
Has the employability team helped you plan for life beyond NTU London?
Yes, they have signposted me to Unitemps which has allowed me to work for NTU.
Still need help?
