I hope people look at my final collection and think about the difference that I could have in fashion. Not just the actual text on my garments but the hidden messages beneath the imagery and all the different techniques shown across the collection.
More about Jenna
Hi, my name's Jenna and I study fashion design at NTU and I'm in my final year. My final major project is looking at the female rage in particularly to do with female body image surrounding larger plus size and mid-size bodies. I'm a mid-size person myself, so it's great to be able to design a collection for myself. I'm looking at lots of different techniques in my collection. I'm doing a lot of knitwear with jacquard. I'm doing a lot of denim specialties, as well as some lasering, rastering and engraving and some embroidery on my project.
The thing I'm most proud of in this collection so far is something I was able to accomplish yesterday, which was linking a ribbed hem onto my Nick jacquard piece. It was my first time using it. It took me two days, however, I was able to finally do it and the results were amazing. It looked fantastic and I'm so excited for that to be in my collection. I hope people look at my final collection and think about the difference that I could have in fashion. Not just the actual text on my garments but the hidden messages beneath the imagery and all the different techniques shown across the collection.
