More about Riddhi
Why did you choose NTU and your course?
I choose Nottingham Trent University because of its strong industry presence and practical approach to learning. I loved how welcoming and helpful the University is, NTU will make sure you feel at home always. International Fashion Business Course stood out to me as it combines creativity with business skills, which aligns perfectly with my career goals.
What’s your favourite thing about your course?
If I had to pick one, it would be the creative independence we get with the course. Working on/with real-life case studies and brands and finding ways to make it better using my creativity feels so relevant and exiting.
How have you found the course facilities?
The facilities are excellent, excess to course-related platforms, digital resources, collaborative spaces, networking events, exposure with field-trips and so much more. They really support both creative and strategic work.
Have you worked on any live briefs or competitions?
Yes, I’ve worked on several live briefs and competitions. Presenting my ideas in front of creative heads from the industry has really helped to build my confidence. It also helped me develop problem-solving skills and understand how brands operate in real life.
Has your course included any guest speakers or industry trips? What have you enjoyed about this?
Yes, my course included both guest speakers from the fashion industry and industry trips, which have been incredibly valuable. We’ve had professionals from the industry share real insights. What I enjoyed the most was various advice about how to move forward and what is considered valuable to build a career. The trips stood out the most, especially visiting Copenhagen, where we visited headquarters of Les Deux, CIFF- trade show, showcases in Copenhagen Fashion week and more. I was exposed to a completely different perspective on sustainability and fashion culture. I also had the opportunity visit Paul Smith headquarters in London, which gave me a behind-the-scenes understanding of how an established brand operates.
When I’m not studying…

How is NTU for international students?
NTU is very welcoming and diverse. It’s so easy to settle in and there’s a strong sense of community with lots of support available which is rare to find. There are events and spaces dedicated to just international students which always makes me feel seen. Spaces like Global Longue hosts an event almost everyday to celebrate the diversity in NTU. One of the events being language cafes where you can learn a new language, learn more about a new culture along with snacks. NTU has always felt like home, it makes sure you never feel alone here.
