Why did you choose your course and NTU?

"I have always wanted to be a social worker seeing the work and change they bring to people’s lives especially the elderly in my experience are very rewarding and fulfilling.

I read reviews and asked former students I knew about their experience at NTU, and their responses were positive."

What’s your experience been like of your course so far?

"I am also finding my footing in the university and my social work course but I am enjoying my experience so far."

What does Social Sciences mean to you?

"It means understanding the societal systems and structures and human behaviour has on social and economic or political as well as cultural forces on individuals and communities. Individuals and communities are empowered through utilising social science research and theories. People’s lives are transformed by the promotion of social justice and the improvement of overall well-being in communities."

"The staff and tutors at NTU are very supportive. It's important to speak out to make sure you get the most of the support available. Communication is key."

"I hope to complete my degree and come back for my Masters in Social Work."
