Transferring to NTU from another university
Changing your course, or even switching universities, is a tough decision - but you do have options. We're accepting transfers from UK students. Our Admissions team are on hand to support you through the process and answer any questions you might have.
Apply to transfer to NTU
1. Gather your information
Have details of your previous and current study ready. This may include: A levels, BTECs or other qualifications, your current university and course as well as the modules you've completed or are currently studying.
2. Submit a transfer application on UCAS
You can then apply to transfer to NTU by submitting a UCAS application. If you'd like to join us in your 2nd or 3rd year, you will need to tick the "Advanced Entry" option on your UCAS application.
3. We'll review your circumstances
Once we receive your application, we will ask for a breakdown of the of the modules you have already studied, which will then be assessed by one of our academics who will decide if you are suitable for advanced entry onto Years Two or Three, or if it's more appropriate to make you an offer to start in Year One.
4. We'll make a decision
If we are able to accept your transfer request, Admissions will email to confirm your offer, start date and how to enrol with NTU. If we are unable to accept transfers for your chosen course, Admissions will advise how to apply for the next available start date.

Credit is a measure of the amount of university-level study that you have completed in a given topic. When you have completed a module or unit of study on your course, it carries a credit value that can be used as evidence that you have studied a certain amount of a topic when you transfer to another university or course so that you don’t have to repeat the same work.
NTU recognises credits studied at any other UK higher education provider as carrying the same value as NTU credits.
Credit can usually be used for transfer for five years, though we are always happy to discuss your previous study with you and see whether it would still be relevant.
