FAQs about transferring to NTU

Some of our undergraduate courses are available for students wanting to transfer to NTU from another university. The courses that are available can change throughout the year. Please contact our Admissions team to confirm if your chosen course is open to transfers.

If you want to transfer to NTU, simply submit a Transfer request through our AskNTU form.

Our friendly Admissions team will then get in touch with you to discuss your circumstances and eligibility for a place. Please make sure you are checking your emails and provide a telephone number with your enquiry.

You will need to provide your previous qualifications (for example A Levels, BTECs, GCSEs), and then your individual circumstances will be assessed by our team. If you are looking for Advanced Entry into Year 2 or 3 please view our Admissions Policy for Transferring Students.

If we are able to accept your transfer request, Admissions will email to confirm your offer, start date and how to enrol with NTU.

If we are unable to accept transfers for your chosen course, Admissions will advise how to apply for the next available start date.

Once your transfer is confirmed, our Student Fees team will be in touch to advise what you need to do to transfer your finance.

If you are using the Student Loan Company for your tuition fees, you will not be expected to pay more than the regulated fee when you transfer to NTU.

If you are self-funded, you should consult your current institution’s fee and refund policy.

Once your transfer is confirmed, our Accommodation team will be in touch to discuss your options.

Unfortunately we cannot accept in-year transfers from international students and you will need to apply directly to NTU. More information can be found here, or you can contact our international team via email to discuss your circumstances.

Please contact our Admissions team via our enquiry form or on +44 (0)115 848 4200.
