As Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Academic Development and Performance, Sharon represents the Vice-Chancellor at external and internal events, and is responsible for the development, enhancement and innovation of our teaching and learning, management of our Academic Schools’ Executive Deans, academic oversight of the strategic planning cycle and senior sponsorship of such activities as NTU’s Mansfield and Ashfield development programme and in relation to its membership of Athena SWAN.

Professor Cillian Ryan is Pro Vice-Chancellor International and is responsible for the University’s international partnerships around the world, international student recruitment, the international student experience, and the internationalisation of the UK student experience. Cillian also leads on a number of special projects at the University including responsibility for elite and community sports provision at NTU.
