How the consultancy works

Dr Verusca Calabria can support with:

  • Scoping, managing and evaluating participatory oral history and heritage projects
  • Providing training to groups and organisations in oral history methodology
  • Turning oral histories into public displays
  • Designing audio-visual exhibitions
  • Creating audio-visual archives.

Verusca’s consultancy will be particularly relevant for community groups and networks, charities, universities, museums, libraries, and local authorities.

Verusca is a long-standing trustee of the Oral History Society, a national organisation supporting best practice in oral history in Britain. She is a co-founder and co-convenor of the NTU Oral History Network seminar series (250 + members)

Verusca has a significant track record of project management, grant capture, budget and risk management and partnership working in the heritage industry. She has delivered medium to large-scale heritage projects totalling £800,000 within established budgets and timeframes. She has directed the creation of several high-profile oral history collections of regional and national importance.

Her clients have included: The Science Museum; Random House Publishing; Black Cultural Archives; University of the Arts, London; GIRES (Gender Identity Research and Education Society); the Montegue Centre, London.
