The NTU experience needn’t start and end with your degree. To make the most of your time at university, get involved in life outside your lectures – whether that’s music, sport, faith, volunteering, NTSU, or one of our many societies.
Whatever your interests, you’ll have the chance to meet new people, try new things, and boost your CV.
Black Leadership Programme
The programme is designed to empower second year undergraduate students of black heritage to gain confidence and become resilient leaders through a series of interactive events and community-building activities throughout Term Two and Term Three.
Get into volunteering
Volunteering is a great way of not only helping the local community, but also helping yourself. In the current job market standing out from the crowd is essential, and volunteering could give you that vital competitive edge.
Join a society
With over 110 societies to tempt you with, you’ll be spoilt for choice when deciding what to get involved with here at NTU.
There’s so many international opportunities to get involved with – from exchange schemes and study abroad, to learning a language and Global Week – our annual celebration of cultural diversity.
Employability and careers
Employers look for more than a degree. Stand out from the crowd - our team are here to help you boost your CV and interview skills, and find work experience and jobs.
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
NTU is committed to sustaining an inclusive learning and working environment, which is enriched by diversity, values differences and promotes fairness, respect and equality of opportunity. Learn about our commitments to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace and classroom.
