Trent dance currently have advanced and intermediate teams as well as open classes for those who want to dance for fun. We host an annual show at the end of first term to showcase all our routines and host our own competition, which has been a raging success for the past years. We attend competitions across the country to compete against different universities in a variety of categories which is always a great day out and so much fun! Finally, each year we perform at the Nottingham Trent and The University of Nottingham’s Varsity, this is everyone’s favourite event to perform at, and auditions are open to everyone!

Training takes place on a Monday, Wednesday and Sunday depending on your style and level of dance at Lee Westwood Sports Centre or the City campus.

How to join

After Welcome Week we hold auditions in the different styles for both advanced and intermediate teams where everyone is welcome no matter to these auditions no matter what your ability. Once the teams have been chosen, we begin training for our competitions. If the audition process isn’t for you, we also offer open classes which run every week at both the City and Clifton campus.

Trent Dance has one of the lowest subs at Trent at £85 in the first term to become a member there is an additional charge to attend competitions, as well as costume fees (which we try and keep to a minimum). Memberships purchased at any point during the academic year are only valid until the end of term 3.
