Dance

We offer every style so if you are a ballet dancer or a hip-hop lover you have the chance to try something new and maybe find a new style you love. Trent Dance caters to all abilities from beginners to advanced.

Club information

Auditions take place at the beginning of every year so you always have the opportunity to move up and improve.

We host an annual show with all our dance and showcase other clubs at Trent such as Funky Fresh Collective, Burlesque, Pole and Cheer.

Every year we are also one of the performers at the Nottingham Varsity Series against the University of Nottingham-this is everyone’s favourite event to perform at!

Practice / meeting schedule

We host classes at both City and Clifton campuses so no matter what you are studying you have the opportunity to join Trent Dance and become apart of our growing team.

We train Sundays, Mondays, Tuesday and Wednesdays, when you train will depend on what styles you choose to take on:

Sunday: City 12-3pm
Monday: Clifton 7-10pm
Tuesday: Clifton 5.30-7pm
Wednesday: Clifton 1-5pm, City 1-3pm

Taster sessions

We host taster sessions during Welcome Week, everyone is welcome! To get info on these follow us on social media:

How to join

After Welcome Week we host auditions for both advanced and intermediate teams, everyone is welcome to these auditions no matter what your ability. We then place you into those teams and we begin training for the annual show and competitions.

If the audition process doesn’t appeal to you then our weekly open classes at both City and Clifton are open to everyone without audition. These classes also perform in the show but do not compete at competitions.

Trent Dance has one of the lowest subs at Trent at just £10 a term. There is then a charge for the show and competitions. We do offer Trent Dance merchandise but it isn’t compulsory but does cost a little extra.
