David Ross readies himself ahead of England vs France Students clash

NTU’s Head of Rugby, David Ross, is currently in camp ready to help the England Students team to victory as they take on France on 24 May.

England Students play their annual fixture vs France Students away in Terrasson, in the Bordeaux region of France in a test match this coming Saturday in front of a hugely partisan crowd in one of France’s rugby heartlands.

Head Coach of the England Students team and Director of Rugby at Loughborough, Martin Webdale, approached David to become involved as attack and backs coach in February.

Upon entering camp,  David said:

To be asked to coach England Students is a tremendous honour and a role I am incredibly proud and excited to be a part of. It is a huge challenge to bring a team of players and staff together in such a short space of time to play at international level but with the talented squad we have selected to go to France, it is so exciting to see what we can do and the style of rugby we can play. My main aim is to build strong relationships and excitement with our group as quickly as we can, and ensure we represent the best of university rugby in England… and of course get the win for the team.
