We offer a range of professional programmes and apprenticeships which give you the chance to gain professional membership to accredited bodies including Chartered Management Institute (CMI), Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) and Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).
Many of these courses have been co-created to meet the specific needs of large organisations, SMEs and individuals, linked to professional standards and funding requirements; and delivered in modes that facilitate work-based learning. Online short courses and microcredentials
If you’re a professional looking to build your skills and qualifications through a flexible and stackable approach, view our short courses and microcredentials on FutureLearn.
Our online short courses are free and involve around two hours of study over the course of three weeks and are developed by our sector leading academics.
Our online microcredentials give participants the opportunity to gain the knowledge, skills and attributes to support their career progression or change career direction by engaging in learning and reflection on leadership and management practice.
The microcredentials can be used as independent certification or stacked towards a Postgraduate Certificate in Leadership and Management Practice, giving you flexibility to stack Nottingham Business School credits and also up to 30 credits at Masters Level from another university as long as the modules studied were within the last 5 years and aligned with our course learning outcomes.
- Through our microcredentials you will engage with the advanced foundational theories and conceptual frameworks used in leadership and management practice in organisations both nationally and internationally.
- You will be encouraged to apply the learning to your own organisational context.
- Our microcredentials are designed to upskill professionals without the time and cost commitment of a full degree and cover issues relevant to all modern workplaces.
Professional body programmes
Many of our courses offer you the chance to gain professional membership with the associated professional bodies in less than a year. Our courses focus on your employability, providing you with tailored support at every stage as you put theory into practice.
Higher Education Administration, Management and Leadership
Delivered in collaboration with the Association of University Administrators (AUA), we offer a range of professional courses in Higher Education Administration, Management and Leadership. You will deepen and test your knowledge and understanding of the HE sector whilst enhancing your skills as a reflective practitioner.
