A warm winter welcome to all our students
There are lots of events on offer during your first few weeks to help welcome you to Nottingham Trent University (NTU), the Nottingham Trent Students’ Union (NTSU) and the city itself.
You’ll have access to city tours, free lunches and activities at the Students’ Union taking place from 10 January - 11 February 2022. These are all a great opportunity to get to know your new surroundings, meet other new students and to start making lasting friendships.

Postgraduate Winter Welcome to NTU
When: Wednesday 2 February 2022, 2 - 3pm
Location: Lecture Theatre 5, Newton Building, City Campus
Join our welcome from Sharon Huttly, Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Academic Development and Performance, and your NTSU Vice-President Postgraduate, Benedict Wills. You’ll get an introduction to the postgrad community at NTU, followed by a Winter Welcome Fair of opportunities to get involved in and make the most of NTU life outside of your studies!

Location: Nottingham Trent Students' Union, City Campus.
The ‘after-party’ to the Winter Welcome to NTU, and a chance to grab some free food and drink, socialise with other new students and to relax in your city-based NTSU venue.

Opportunities, Support and Services

Global Lounge
All students are welcome to our Global Lounges at City Campus (23 Goldsmith Street) and Clifton Campus (Room 126, Mary Ann Evans Building). Find out about the on and off-campus global opportunities and funding available to you. You can organise and participate in cultural events, practise at our Language cafes, join our games afternoons, meet students from around the world over a free tea or coffee and chat to our friendly staff.

Our dedicated team of advisers and support staff are always on hand to support international students at NTU. For anything from immigration advice to settling into life in the UK, we’re here to help.
