The Centre for student and Community engagement offers a wide range of opportunities to enhance your university experience, support your personal development and explore future prospects. Whether you decide to volunteer locally or abroad, inspire the next generation of learners in schools or support your peers as a CERT Mentor, there are plenty of ways to get involved.
In line with Government advice to close all university buildings, CenSCE staff are working from home and can be contacted as usual. The situation will be continually reviewed, and we'll keep in touch about any developments. Please don’t hesitate to contact us at CenSCE@ntu.ac.uk should you have any queries.
CERT Student Mentors
CERT Mentors play an important role in helping new students settle in to life at NTU.
Community Engagement and Volunteering
We provide a diverse range of high-quality volunteering opportunities to support you in developing your experience and skills. There really is something for everybody!
“Taking part in the Students in Classrooms scheme was extremely fun and rewarding. The opportunity helped me to develop my confidence, leadership and decision making skills, all whilst knowing I was motivating and supporting the pupils and having a positive impact on them. I would strongly recommend taking part in the scheme!”
Student Training and Development
We aim to assist your wider learning and personal development, ensuring you have the skills and support you need to get the most from your role. Both NTU and University of Nottingham students participating in our schemes will have access to our programme of Student Training and Development sessions, designed to support you in developing and enhancing key skills for your role.
