This comprehensive course in copywriting and content writing will equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to create compelling and persuasive copy that engages, informs and inspires your audience.

Whilst copywriting is more on the sales side, content writing is more focused on informing, educating, and persuading. Both are equally important, especially from an SEO perspective, so the two really do go hand in hand and are totally different skills from other kinds of writing.

Whether you're looking to start a career as a copywriter or content writer, or you want to improve your writing skills for business use and marketing, this course is ideal for you.

With a limited number of places on the course, you'll have the one-to-one attention you need to ensure you leave with the skills to continue developing your skills at home or work.

Through a series of interactive lessons, practical exercises, and real-world examples, you'll learn how to craft attention-grabbing headlines, write persuasive sales copy, create engaging content for websites, social media and email campaigns, and develop a strong and consistent brand voice and house style.

The course will cover the following topics:

  • Types of advertising copy and how to make it sell
  • Tone of voice and house style: why they’re important, with guidelines for businesses.

During this course you will:

  • understand the different contexts where short form or long form writing should be applied
  • learn to identity the right tone of voice and house style to reflect a company’s brand values
  • appreciate the need to adapt your writing style to suit your audience(s)
  • learn how to make your key messages stand out from the competition
  • consider the differences between writing for online and offline media
  • understand how to write optimised copy to help boost search engine rankings

What will you gain?

By the end of the course, you'll have a solid understanding of the key elements of effective copywriting and content writing, as well as the tools and techniques you need to create written work that resonates with your audience and achieves your sales and marketing goals.

You’ll know how to structure copy and write good headlines, understand the different types of copy and content, appreciate the importance of tone of voice and house style, and develop your practical writing skills to apply a variety of techniques to maximise the impact of your writing.

You’ll receive a certificate of attendance when you complete the course, which is a great way to enhance your CV.

If you’re considering becoming a freelancer, or working client-side or agency-side as a writer or content creator, you’ll leave the course with a better understanding of whether this is the right career move for you and, if so, have the skills and knowledge to get started.
