Physics and Mathematics Scholarship Group
The Physics and Maths Scholarship group is dedicated to developing and promoting high quality teaching and learning experiences within our department. Our activities include:
- Providing support for colleagues looking to obtain Advance HE Fellowship or Senior Fellowship via the NTU Professional Recognition scheme.
- Supporting new colleagues through their Academic Professional Apprenticeship and providing opportunities to share fresh ideas they bring to teaching within the wider department.
- Holding scholarship seminars to allow internal and external speakers to share innovative teaching practices.
- Performing pedagogical research to test the impact of innovative teaching approaches.
- Hosting departmental meetings to discuss key issues around teaching and learning.
- Celebrating our colleagues’ work by disseminating good teaching practice that has been spotted through our departmental Peer Observation Scheme.
- Encouraging all colleagues to engage with scholarship activities on a wider university level via TILT.
