Apply for a transcript
A transcript is a document showing a student's academic attainments whilst at the University and will list the modules taken and the marks achieved for each year of study.
Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR)
Your Higher Education Achievement Report, otherwise known as a HEAR, is an electronic document which records your achievements during your time at NTU, hosted by third-party secure website Gradintelligence.
Students of most NTU courses are eligible for a HEAR, with the following exceptions:
- Pre-2004 awards
- Partnership/franchise/validation courses
- Short courses and non-award bearing courses
- Postgraduate research (PhD) courses
- Legal Practice LLM courses.

Non-HEAR Eligible courses, or if a hard copy is required
If your course is not eligible for a HEAR, or the HEAR is not suitable for your needs, you can request a paper or pdf transcript by contacting ntutranscripts@ntu.ac.uk.
Please include your name, date of birth, course, date of award, and student number if you still have it. Please also provide an address if you require a hard copy of your transcript, otherwise it will be emailed to you as a PDF document.
Verification letters
In some instances, it may be necessary to request a verification letter instead. A formal letter of verification from the University confirms:
- the dates you attended
- the course you studied
- any qualification or qualifications you achieved.
The cost for this document is £14.
Please visit our Academic Registry online store and select 'Verification letter'.
Current students can obtain a Confirmation of Student Status letter from mystudentrecord.ntu.ac.uk under ‘My Letters’.
