Single-semester and short-term accommodation
Find short-term accommodation options if you're looking for a flexible way of staying at NTU for less than a full academic year.
We offer options for both short-term stay contracts and single-semester contracts.
Short-term stay contracts
If you need short-term accommodation as an NTU full-time student, you can stay up to a minimum of 28 nights in selected halls.
We offer a range of affordable rooms and studios. Bills and internet access are included. You can also extend your stay further should you need to, subject to room availability.
Find and book your room
Check availability and book your place by selecting 'short-term accommodation' on the NTU accommodation portal.
Full payment is required in advance to secure your booking. Cancellation will need to be made 7 days before the start of the contract.
Summer stays for guests
Nottingham Trent University offers summer accommodation for external guests visiting the city between July and September.
Friend referral scheme
Students can refer a friend for a short-term booking in any UPP halls at NTU residence and both parties will receive a £150 Amazon voucher (terms and conditions apply).
2026/27 Semester 1 and PEAPS bookings
2026/27 Semester 1 and PEAPS bookings are now open.
First, you must have accepted your offer to study at NTU before you can make a booking. After that, you can reserve a room online through our accommodation booking portal – follow the steps on the page to create a password and log in.
Single-semester contracts
We offer single-semester contracts for full-time enrolled NTU students on non-standard courses, such as part-year exchange courses and students studying for one semester.
Semester contracts for 2026/27 are for ensuite rooms in Sandby, Norton Court; and for shared rooms in The Maltings (City Campus).
In all cases, payment is due in full immediately to confirm the booking.

Terms and conditions
We can only offer you a room if you have a firm offer with NTU and have an NTU ID number.
There is a limited number of each type of room and allocation is on a first-come, first-served basis. If these contracts are not suitable, or if our allocation becomes full, then we will offer you support and guidance in finding alternative accommodation.
Order your essential items before you arrive
It can be inconvenient to bring everything you need for student living with you, so to lighten your load, you can buy items online and have them delivered to your room before you arrive.
Your residence handbook will include a list of items supplied in the property, so you can get an idea ahead of time of what else you might need to bring.
