We also hold accreditations from a range of professional bodies that recognise the quality of our teaching and research.

NBS is EQUIS accredited since 2017

EQUIS is the gold standard of global accreditation systems for business schools. Only a select number of Schools in the world meet EQUIS standards and hold this prestigious accreditation. This accreditation reflects our commitment to providing business and management education that is personalised, experiential, internationalised and sustainable.
Nottingham Business School was awarded EQUIS re-accreditation in February 2021. Many aspects of NBS’ work including Personalisation, impact of much expanded research, quality of courses, level of internationalisation, integration of ethics, responsibility and sustainability, and connections to business, were judged to be world-class.
NBS is AACSB accredited since 2016

AACSB accreditation is a mark of global excellence in business education. Just over 5% of the more than 16,000 schools worldwide granting business degrees have earned AACSB accreditation.
NBS is Small Business Charter accredited since 2014

Nottingham Business School has been accredited by the Small Business Charter since 2014 and was reaccredited in 2019 for the next 5 years. The award represents NBS's effective business support, entrepreneurship education and engagement with the local economy.
EFMD Programme accreditation since 2021

EFMD Global awarded EFMD Programme Accreditation to our suite of undergraduate BA (Hons) International Business courses in March 2021.
EFMD Programme Accreditation is a benchmark for internationally recognised and peer-reviewed programmes, emphasising academic rigour, practical relevance, internationalisation, and ethics and sustainability.
PRME Champions since 2019

Nottingham Business School is honoured to be named as a Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) Champion for the second time in 2020-2021 Champions cycle. This is due to our commitment to develop responsible leaders and mainstreaming the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in curriculum, research and partnerships.
NBS has been a PRME Signatory since 2015 and was also a PRME Champion in 2018-19 cycle. The School aims to continue and build on its existing work in 2020-21 cycle.

Business School Impact System member since 2019

Nottingham Business School further proved its positive impact in 2019, completing a process of identification of the tangible and intangible benefits that it brings to the local environment with the Business School Impact System (BSIS).
The BSIS scheme is a pioneering impact assessment process to business schools, which identifies the tangible and intangible benefits that a business school brings to its local environment. The BSIS is run as a joint venture between EFMD Global Network and FNEGE.
Financial Times rankings 2019
Nottingham Business School was ranked amongst the top 95 in the Financial Times European Business Schools rankings from 2016 - 2019.
Nottingham Business School's MSc in Management was ranked in the Top 100 Globally in 2019.
