NLS Legal, our multi-award-winning teaching law firm, is the only one of its kind among all UK universities. It provides Nottingham Law School students with outstanding experiential learning opportunities and offers valuable pro bono legal advice to the local community.
NLS Legal
We offer legal services across a range of practice areas, to those who are unable to afford, or otherwise access, legal advice and assistance.
Support Through Court
NLS is the sole host university for Support Through Court's National Helpline and National Online Service. This partnership provides a unique opportunity for NLS students to access practical work experience.
Mooting
A 'moot' or 'mooting' is the oral presentation of a legal issue or problem. Students can practice their public speaking and benefit from the closest experience to appearing in court that you can have while at university.

Our courtrooms are a great way to prepare yourself for a career in legal services – there's no better practice. Through mock trials and mooting, you’ll develop your presentation and research skills, building confidence as you go.

Our courses are accredited or approved by a range of professional bodies, including the Solicitors Regulation Authority, Bar Standards Board, Intellectual Property Regulation Board and Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys, and our extensive links with the legal and other professions both at home and overseas, reflect and inform the design of our course portfolio and ensure that we continue to lead the way in legal education.
