Our courses were developed with our sport, exercise and health networks, no matter which degree you choose, students will develop a range of transferable skills desirable in a variety of professional contexts. The sports team collaborate with a range of partners, to offer students industry-relevant experience.
Our facilities for student, research and commercial use include: a British Olympic Association-approved environmental chamber, performance analysis and nutrition suite, biomechanics and exercise physiology labs, sport and leisure management suite, and our sport and exercise psychology lab.
We have strong partnerships with many local and national sports clubs, councils and sporting bodies, where the department's research expertise and development projects positively benefit the sporting community. Our team of sport scientists, sport psychologists, nutritionists and management specialists are experienced at working with and improving the performance of sports men and women at all levels, as well as individuals, teams and organisations from within the public and corporate sectors. Quite simply, we are committed to demonstrating and making available our knowledge, expertise and facilities to aid and solve sporting problems.
Sport Science courses
You’ll study at our Clifton Campus, home of our Sport Village with full use of high-tech sports performance labs and an Olympic Association-approved environmental chamber.
Sport and Wellbeing Academy
Giving our students valuable work experience, our Academy works on improving the health and wellbeing of the local community and schools and supports NTU's sports teams in reaching their potential.

Our facilities include an environmental chamber for Sport Science students to examine and understand the performance of athletes under different conditions.
Interdisciplinary Science and Technology Centre (ISTeC)
ISTeC is a cutting-edge 13 million facility at NTU, supporting research and majors in Computer Science, Bioscience, Chemistry, and Sport Science.
Natural Sciences Research Facility
The Natural Sciences Research Facility is home to our research in physics, biosciences, chemistry, imaging, materials and sports performance.
