Nottingham Business School (NBS) has officially launched a new flagship entrepreneurship MSc, where students will be supported in commercialising ideas and building their own ventures while earning their degree.
With industries shifting and expectations rising, entrepreneurial thinking now drives growth across all organisations. This programme, supported by the Centre for Business and Industry Transformation (CBIT), helps students build the strategic and practical skills to tackle real business challenges effectively.
The MSc Strategic Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management (SEIM) blends solid academic understanding with practical, hands-on experiences that help students apply what they learn in real situations. Through real-world cases and research, students develop skills in entrepreneurial strategy, innovation leadership, venture development, investment readiness, digital innovation, and responsible business practice.
Learning on this programme is immersive and interactive, supported by academic expertise, industry insight, and access to Nottingham Business School’s enterprise ecosystem and professional support networks. Students will have the opportunity to work on live briefs, pitch ideas, receive feedback from practitioners, and build a portfolio of practical work that demonstrates their ability to innovate in diverse environments. The programme also places emphasis on professional and personal development, encouraging students to enhance their leadership presence, communication skills and strategic thinking, ensuring they graduate prepared not only to create ideas, but to champion them convincingly.
NBS continues to shape programmes that reflect the needs of a rapidly changing business world. To introduce the MSc Strategic Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management (SEIM), Head of Postgraduate and Executive Education, Alex Hiller, shares the following quote:
