All contracts are for ensuite rooms on the third floor of our Sandby residence. These contracts will be available to full-time fully enrolled NTU students on non-standard courses (such as part-year exchange courses, students studying for one semester, Pre-sessional English for Academic Purpose courses and Masters courses starting in January).

If you would like to book one of these contracts, then please email us with your NTU student ID number and stating which contract you would like. We will respond with availability and booking instructions.

We have limited number of rooms of each type. Room allocation will be done on a first-come, first-serve basis. If these contracts are not suitable, or if our allocation becomes full, then we will offer you support and guidance in finding alternative accommodation – either in NTU Homestay or in the private sector.

Essential information

Entering into a contract for accommodation is an important decision so please make sure you read the contract carefully and ask us if you have any questions. You may wish to download these important documents:

For any contracts that are one term or longer you will need to pay a non-refundable £200 booking fee and depending on the length of the contract you will need to pay some / all of your residence fees in advance. Once you move in your non-refundable booking fee will become your damage deposit that is refunded at the end of the contract.

Cancellation Information

You can cancel your booking as long as you do so at least 21 days before the start date on your contract, or up to 28 days after your acceptance of your agreement, whichever is the soonest. You need to do this by emailing accommodation@ntu.ac.uk. If you cancel by the deadline you will get a refund of any residence fees you paid in advance, but you will not get a refund of the £200 booking fee.

If you’re a returning student, you’ll be allowed to cancel this Licence Agreement, without having to pay any rent, provided that you notify Student Accommodation Services directly by email that you wish to cancel your accommodation booking and that this notification is received by Student Accommodation Services by the sooner of:

  • 28 days after the acceptance of the Terms and Conditions set out in this Licence Agreement
  • at least 21 days before the start of the Licence Period.

After the specified deadline this "no-penalty cancellation" option won’t be available, and you’ll be legally bound by the terms and conditions of your accommodation agreement.
