Role

Helen Hollis is course leader for the BA (Hons) Interior Architecture and Design course. She provides academic leadership for the course, which encompasses the design, planning and delivery of the course; working with the course team to ensure high quality academic support for students; as well as supporting students pastorally.

She also teaches on several modules across all undergraduate year groups. Helen is the leader for Year One Design Studio and tutor for Year Four Design Studio. Helen has also taught Design Communications and the Technical Studies modules.

Career overview

Helen has spent 14 Years working for Allan Joyce Architects prior to coming to NTU, where she headed up the Interior Design Department. Helen worked on jobs in several different sectors, including hospitality, commercial and residential design.

External activity

Helen still keeps her hand in the world of Interior Design and Construction by doing Planning and Building Regulation drawings and Interior Design schemes for friends and family. Helen has completed several house renovations which utilise all her skills as an Interior Designer!

Helen attends courses and CPDs relating to Interior Design to keep her knowledge current and up-to-date.
