Christopher Campbell
Director of Sport
Having been at NTU since 2014 as Head of Performance Sport, Chris took over as Director of Sport in spring 2025 and is the strategic lead for all elements of non-academic sport.
Melanie Wells
Performance Programmes Lead
Melanie is our Performance Programmes Lead, who oversees programme strategy for NTU's talented athlete programmes, as well as leading on performance lifestyle coaching, academic flexibility and NTU's TASS partnership.
Jamie Barnard
Athlete Services Lead
Jamie Barnard is the Athlete Services Lead at NTU Sport, responsible for developing the high standards of the Strength & Conditioning, Physiotherapy, and other athlete support services to help improve the level of performance for all NTU athletes.
Sophie Dunning
Sport Competition Manager
Sophie is our Sports Coordinator for competitions responsible for coordinating the delivery of NTU's participation in British Universities and Colleges Sport.
Daniel Corlett
Head of Football
Daniel Corlett is Head Coach for Women's Football, responsible for leading on recruitment, selection, development and deployment of female athletes across all levels of the Women's Football program.
David Ross
Head of Rugby
As Head of Rugby at NTU, David’s role focuses on the performance of the teams playing in BUCS and transitioning our talented players into professional rugby through our performance pathway.
Jack Rhodes
Head of Hockey
Jack is the Head of Hockey at NTU, he oversees the six men’s and six women's teams that compete in BUCS as well as the two mixed teams.
Sam Patterson
Head of Lacrosse
As the Head Lacrosse at NTU, Sam oversees six teams competing in BUCS and externally, focusing on performance programs, recruitment, and player development.
Dan Watts
Head of Basketball
Dan is the Head of Basketball who has overseen unprecedented success with both the Men’s and Women’s teams going undefeated throughout the season and gaining promotion to BUCS Premier in his first year at NTU.

As the Head Coach of Tennis, Callum has played a significant role in designing and delivering high-performance programmes to provide opportunities for students to compete at a high-level.

Head Coach - Table Tennis
Jason has been working with NTU since 2016 and has managed to maintain the reputation as one of the leading universities in the country for its table tennis.
Louise Hopkin
Head of Netball
Louise is the Head of NTU Netball having helped shape NTU's Netball performance programme since 2017, including helping the team successfully compete in the BUCS Premier League North.
