It is with great sadness to announce the death of Augustine Rawson (Coombes).
Augustine started at NTU in 2020 and enrolled on the BA International Relations course, transferring to the Law School in September 2021 to study on the LLB (Hons) Law full-time course. Augustine was a dedicated student and a much valued member of the NTU community and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
RIP GUS ❤️ He was one like no other. Had the biggest and kindest heart, and never failed to make me chuckle when I was at a low. He was the most intelligent person I knew with so much charisma and talent. Miss you so much man, hope you’re at peace wherever you are

Gus was a great friend and a loving man who would do anything to make his friends smile. He was always the life of the party and I will forever miss him. He was incredibly smart and its sad the world will never see his full potential, He loved his friends and family so much I hope they know how proud gus is of them. Rest in peace gus, forever in my heart.

Though I did not have the pleasure of knowing Augustine personally, I fully appreciate that the loss suffered by his family and friends is immense; my thoughts and deepest condolences go out to everyone that has been affected by his passing.

My deepest condolences to Gus' family, friends and to anybody that had the blessing to know him. This has been impossible to put into words. Only one year of getting to know Gus but a lifetime of including him in my prayers. You are deeply missed and always remembered. Every all nighter in the library, 9pm to 9am, was an all nighter well spent with beautiful company!

He was a one of a kind man. He deserved a better life and a longer life. He was so young when he passed and it’s terribly sad. Mens mental health matters! His death won’t be forgotten and his legacy will remain. Gus was always so kind, funny, and smart. Those combinations are hard to come. Rest in peace legend.

Gus was a lovely young man who touched the lives of so many. At this very sad time, my thoughts and condolences are with his family, his friends and everybody that knew him as the special person that he was.

Being new to NTU Law School, I did not know Augustine. It is with sadness that I read of his passing. My deepest condolences. Whenever he is remembered by you, he lives on and whenever you feel saddened - its a sign of your love for each other and so to be treasured. I wish you strength and support at such a difficult time.

I was deeply saddened to learn about the death of Augustine. He was a lovely, polite and respectful young man, and a valued addition to the LPE seminar group. My thoughts and sympathies are with his family at this very difficult time.
